My Beautiful Wife

“What greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined for life?  To strengthen each other and to be at one with each other in silent unspeakable memories.”

~ George Elliott

scott and kristiI was seventeen the first time I laid eyes on the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.  My mother often reminds me of how I came home from work that day and told her that I met the girl I was going to marry.  It was very much a “love at first site” story.

Since that day, we have shared so many cherished memories together including our wedding, the birth of our three children, so many fantastic vacations and journeys, and an incredible amount of love and respect for one another.  We have each taken the opportunities to fully test the mutual unconditional nature of our love for one another, and thankfully these challenges have only made our relationship stronger.  While it is impossible to know what life has in store for anyone, it is comforting to know that my future will undoubtedly include kristi as a consistently important part of my life experience.

“The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but found by the heart.”

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

She provides her friends and family a wide range of reasons to be proud of her.  She is a caring and empathetic mother, a beautiful and poised woman, a successful and accomplished business executive, a loyal and kind friend, a smart and passionate conversationalist, and a dedicated and convicted animal lover.  Above all, she is incredibly intelligent, funny, and loving.  I am always very proud to introduce her to anyone as my wife.

Growing up with her as my soulmate has been a sincere privilege, one that I cannot be convinced I ever deserved.  My love for her has given me a constant and persistent drive to become an increasingly better man in my futile quest to one day realize the legitimacy of her love for me.   She is the source of my inspiration, integrity, motivation, courage, and zest for life.  She is the quintessential muse in the tale of my life story.

For all these reasons, ans so many more that I simply cannot properly articulate, I will always love her.

“The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart”
